Privacy Policy

Mowden Controls Ltd is responsible for controlling personal data it receives under the General Data protection Regulation (GDPR) and is subject to regulatory enforcement powers of both the ICO and the European Union. This privacy policy governs our data collection processing and usage practices used on our website www.mowden.co.uk and it also describes your choices regarding use, access and corrections of your personal information held by Mowden Controls Ltd.

We obtain personal information from various sources. We do this in two main ways: –

1. We record some of it automatically when you visit our website (including technologies like cookies, see section 2.4)

2. When may, on occasion request that your provide information so that we can maintain a record of you and/or the company you represent. This refers to any information that you ‘voluntarily’ submit to us and that identifies you personally, including contact information, such as your name, e-mail address, company name, company address, telephone number, fax number, your position or job title, account number and other information about yourself or your business.

Any personal information provided is stored securely, and access to that information is restricted to appropriate approved personnel of Mowden Controls Ltd.

Under the terms of the new GDPR regulations, the purpose of Mowden Controls Ltd holding this data is to facilitate direct contact with you for the sole purpose of conducting business. This is considered to be “legitimate interests”.

“Legitimate interests” is a balance tested judgement between the interests of the company, and the interests of the individual.

1.2 Navigational Information

When you visit our website, navigational information such as your IP address, geographical location, browser type, referral sources, length of visit and pages viewed will be tracked.

1.3 Sensitive Information

We do not collect any sensitive information, and we do not process any payment information from you and/or your company as our website does not have any facility to accept any purchases electronically.

1.4 Information about Children

Our website is in no way targeted at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly or intentionally collect information about children under the age of 13. SECTION 2: HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

2.1 Security

While no service is completely secure, we are dedicated to keeping personal information safe. We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards that re intended to appropriately protect against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, unauthorised alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access, misuse andany other unlawful form of processing of, the personal information in our possession. We employ security measures such as using firewalls to protect against intruders, and safeguards protecting against network vulnerabilities.

2.2 Use of Personal Information

We will never sell your personal information to any 3rd party, or intentionally share your company contact details under any circumstance. Any personal information is solely used to improve browsing experience, send information to you, send marketing communications relating to our business.

2.3 Use of Navigational Information

We use navigational information to operate and improve our website. For example, we may use analytical services to see what content is being read so that we can learn what our visitors to the website like.

2.4 Cookies

Mowden Controls Ltd keeps track of the pages you visit so we can understand what works and what does not. This enables us to us customise and improve our website and facilities contained therein.

2.5 Customer Testimonials and Comments

Should we decide to post customer testimonials and comments on our website, which may contain personal information, we will obtain each customers and their representatives written consent via email prior to posting the customer’s and/or their representatives name and testimonial.

2.6 Retention Policy

We retain personal information as long as we consider it useful in contacting you/your company, or as needed to comply with our current legal obligations. We will delete this information if you request to have the information removed from our systems.


SECTION 3: YOUR RIGHTS

Mowden Controls Ltd will freely provide you with information about whether we hold any of your personal information. If you have provided Mowden Controls Ltd. with your personal information, you have the right to review it, request any changes; opt-out, and for us to completely delete your record(s) from our electronic system.

If you are happy for Mowden Controls Ltd to continue holding the above information about you and your company within the electronic systems listed above, you need not take any further action.

However, at any time you may contact Mowden Controls Ltd to: –

1) Request a copy of the above details;
2) Request that any incorrect details held about you are amended or corrected;
3) Request that all of your personnel details are removed from our electronic and/or phone systems;
