Our very own Andy Lowther (of machine shop fame!) has once again suited up as Santa to join over 200 motorbike riding Saint Nicks in raising a huge amount of money for North-Yorkshire based charity Zoe’s Place.
The annual Boundary 500 Santa Ride involves a 22-mile jaunt through Thornaby, Stockton, Middlesbrough and Redcar before finishing off at Kirkleatham. Andy has participated in raising money for this amazing charity since 2012; that’s over a decade of commitment to a great local cause!

We must say that the most stylish Santa award goes to Andy. Proving work and play CAN be a successful union, he’s applied his creativity and engineering knowledge to his display – supporting the heft of all that décor, standing a staggering 10 feet tall and holding steadfast throughout the whole ride.
As the pennies are still being counted, we can reminisce about the whopping £36,278 raised last year, contributing to a grand total of £907,124 raised by the charity over the years! What an incredible amount of money for some great causes.
We can’t wait for what showstopper Andy decides to pull off next year!

Thank you Tony Raine for the great photos of Andy and the event!
